Arctic and Antarctic Cryosat-2 dataset. Here is the info on the Cryosat-2 data processed using the SAMOSA+ retracker by GPOD Data are subsequently processed to remove the DTU21MSS and the FES2014 elastic ocean tide signal. The processing is done on the full 20 Hz data on a track by track basis to allow extraction of sea surface heigh in leads. Each observation represent the mean(ssh) and standard deviation for a crossing of a cell of size 0.5 latitude by 3.0 latitude. The format is the following. 196 -57.126127 14.598178 805854109.666172 -0.046690 0.106288 -114 4 5 index, latitude, longitude, time(01.01.1985 00:00i) mean, std, box(lat), box(long), nb of points For this particular cell crossins a total of 5 (20 Hz) lead observations have been used to determine the mean and standard deviation for this crossing. The mean is considered as the dh used for the subsequent tidal analysis. Te box(lat, long) is the cell index relatice to 0.0,0.0 i. Example. box(lat) = -114 represent index for latitude -57.12/2 (cell size is 0.5 degrees) You will se that the dataset contains both LRM,SAR and SARin data. LRM has not been processed by GPOD, but is taken from RADS. Individual SAR/SIN/LRM datasets is also available in the same format. Ole B. Andersen and Stine K. Rose DTU Space 09/12/2022
